In my old house, my garage had high ceilings and I could hoist my 3 kayaks above the garage doors. My new garage has low ceilings so I needed a new storage solution.  I designed a rolling compact design which could hold all of my gear for my Adventure Island and Eddyline. Total material costs was around $100.  I looked at other designs (see below) and decided to go with a single post design for ease of loading and smaller footprint. It is 3’ wide and 6’ tall.

It took me about a day to assemble and was pretty easy. I am going to sand and paint it next week. It's really nice when you have to wash your gear off.  Scott

Looks great! I like how you added storage for most of the rest of your kayak gear. Putting it all on casters is great. I have a lot of my outdoor gear on stored on rolling racks, and it makes it a lot easier to manage everything. I may have to come up with something similar for my kayak gear.

a friend made one like that too. He made his kayak "shelf" the same height as his pickup bed so there is no lifting, just sliding.
