Hey all,

I'm heading out to camp on Hoko River Beach for a memorial service for my late brother in law.  The campground is right at Kydaka Point. I'm gonna bring my tandem oasis and plan on getting into something out there. I've never fished anywhere near there. What should I be targeting and how?   Any advice is much appreciated!

Sorry to hear about your family's loss.

Well you picked an area with fantastic bottom fishing. A simple method is to find some kelp beds or other structure and jig just about any lure thats heavy enough to get down to the bottom. You just need to get a lure moving around near the rocks/kelp and you will get bit. Bottomfish are generally pretty easy to catch and make excellent fish tacos. Lingcod, black rockfish, greenling etc.
