Today I was "that guy"!first nook!

Congrats on the Chinook! You will now be fully addicted and think about nothing else this time of year like a whole lot of us around here. I can't wait until next weekend and it isn't even Monday.

Ahh, the first Chinook. The dancing of the tip followed by the ceremonial burying of it in the water. The incessant tugging interspersed with the keening of the reel as it peels of line in an energized run to the bottom. There is nothing like the battle of a Chinook. It is truly a uniquely satisfying experience.

Congratulations on getting that monkey off your back!  Even though Drano can be a zoo, I'll bet it was still a lot more relaxing than the crazy parade outside Hammond. 

From now on, you can just plan on devoting Augusts to the pursuit of Chinook.  It truely is an obsession.
