Our mothership charter for albacore got postponed which left the final day of B10's chinook retention wide open. Ben Gus, Lee, NWNoob, and myself hit the ramp at Cape D right at max flood, and fished until roughly 1530. We all C&R'd multiple wild coho. Killed a couple clipped fins too. Unfortunately This was the only nookie we could scratch up, but fortunately for me it was in my net  >:D Didn't see a single chinook in the PB's either. Just tons of coho. Guess all the Portland guys cleaned them out the last two weeks! Well done guys!

Hope you enjoy!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

It was Ray and I that cleaned them out and made them hook shy a few days before you got there. For the record I only took 1 king in this pile while releasing 3 to 5 clipped kings per day and lots of really big unclipped ones. My goals as far as stashing away King meat in the freezers are met and I release the ones I come across from now on....hmmm, unless it's really special.

Is this what you call "clipped" king in WA?  Or someone just having some quick fish head sashimi?

That's what the fish checker does if they get a positive reading when they check the fish for microchips.
