Hey everyone. Just signed onto the site. I currently live in Olympia. Military transfer from back east.  I'm searching for that big chinook salmon from my kayak. I've slowly been working on my ability and courage to go out in the Pacific or Columbia.

In the mean time, I am going to try and get out to grays harbor or Willapa. If anyone is interested in joining me let me know. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for September and October salmon fishing from the yak? Thanks!

Welcome to the left side and NWKA Pick Six,

If you'd be interested and free this Sunday--- I'll be fishing the upper tidewater of the Willapa . Be putting in at Ward Creek near daylight. Post up if you can make it. It's a smaller piece of water (compared to the Colombia) and pretty easy to fish. Might be a good confidence builder for you. Plus very liberal limits.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Mark, thanks for the invite. I'll let you know. I might be able to do that. I'll probably have an answer tomorrow evening.

Mark,
I'm not going to make it to Willapa. Thanks though.

Justin

  No problem Justin,

Consider it an open invitation from one vet to another.
It'll only be getting better down here for a few months.......
