Love Cooking.  Love to eat even more!  Hate cleaning up...

But Chris' breakfast post got me thinking about food so here's something I posted on facebook last week.

Stupid easy.  Boiled halibut in water with sugar, salt, and a tad bit of liquid smoke.

Made some pasta from scratch.  Made Ravioli.  Turned out great though the red sauce (I used commercial sauce because I didn't want to wast time with real sauce if this didn't turn out) over powered the halibut like just about any sauce.  Next time, I think I will just saute in butter and garlic or something like that.

That would be good with a light cheese blend inside the ravioli and a cup of marinara on the side to lightly dip the ravioli in. You guys are making me hungry. And I already had breakfast.

I did add habanero cheese to a few and they turned out pretty good as well.  I agree.  Soething like a lighter dipping sauce versus traditional serving style might be more appropriate.

I might try that with a light cream/Parmesan cheese sauce, or just a lemon/butter/white wine, damn, might have to go pu some halibuts

If you find the red sauce a bit much for the raviolis, I would highly recommend a sage brown butter sauce which I find works really well with raviolis.   It's also supper easy to make.
