Here is a debacle of my wife's first salmon from a kayak. A couple of notes....

1. This is her first salmon (and first fish ever) caught from a kayak. Until now she's been more a kayaker than angler. Now she can officially say she is a Northwest Kayak Angler! I can't say enough of how blessed I am to have her support me with kayak fishing. Perhaps now she will register her and become a member???

2. Sorry for the video quality. As soon as she hooked up my intention was to video the sleigh ride, but it was top water within moments after hook-up and ready for me to help her net it but the audio is hilarious!

3. The debacle is that the dropper weight got caught in the net, but luckily was able to get it free rather quickly!

4. Sorry for the F-bombs in the background. ::) That's the fantastic fishing duo Roy and Dudi we had the honor of fishing with that day.

5. Yes. she out-fished me anyway! :angry4:

That is awesome!  But, now you've ruined her.

She has an expert level of chill for someone that just landed her first kayak salmon.

What a great first fish.

Way to go!

I wished I could convince my wife to give kayaking a try.  I can't even talk her into going out in one on Hagg Lake.  :(
