I'm scheduled to work Saturday so trying to get a shift trade. Would love to be there. How much is the buy-in and where can I find the details?
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga except I get to kill something.

Ran into heavy flurries in Cantwell and rush hour traffic in Anchorage. Should be easy going from here I hope. Made me think of changing my username to "Yakcicle". I'll be down there for next couple days before the Derby hope to run into other kaykers.

Nice.  Hope ya made it safe.  I will likely be there Friday evening but probably not in time to fish.

Call Elks derby to register on Friday if you can't make it in person.   (907)235-2127

Lines in at 7am both morning.  Saturday fish must be weighed in by 7pm.  5 pm on Sunday.  Prize for closest to average fish is about the same as third place they say to encourage people weighing in fish.

They say if enough of us show interest, they will make a good prize available for kayak division next year.

I am supposed to get a flyer emailed to me.  Will post if I get it.

Thanks for the information. So far is been a good eventful trip. There were Belugas all over Turnagain Arm. I've never seen more than 6 before. Three different pods and the first (and largest was estimated 15 or more by folks watching them prior to my arrival.

Awesome! Way to show your dad up! (Somebody has to do it) Is there many power boats in your area?

Good day on the water. Rudy didn't  mention it but that should be his 14th month  catching a King.

Lol. Thx Jeff. Yah. 14 months! Crazy.

Day two was slower. Butt dialed 911. Huh? Broke a drive chain. Missed multiple strikes.

To make matters worse. My kid lands two decent fish and I land a three pounder. I'm grounding that kid. Lol.

Still who can complain??????
