4 fish in the last 4 trips and a limit on one of the outings! Got my GF into her first kayak salmon as well! Managed to break my rod and net the fish! Great past few days! Hopefully more to come!

Love the shot where you're netting that fish with the rod pointing straight down. Not an easy way to get 'em in. Good job.

edit > Just watched the video........how cool . You handled that really well.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Killer report thanks for sharing. Stoked you got the one in the net on the broken rod. Seems like lots of folks are still getting fish on the C, especially you. Good job.

Jason,

That is awesome for both of you. Now if I can only get my wife to come out and fish...

Start out with just kayaking maybe. [emoji1]

Love the vid! That was awesome! Congrats on landing the fish!!!

I was there the day after and a PBer told me, "don't break your rod." I was puzzled at the time, and I thought I had heard every comment about kayak fishing.

+1 on the pedaling, and also maybe loosen drag a bit.  I keep it pretty loose and thumb it while continuing to pedal.  Looks like you're doing okay in your own though!!

What kind of rod did you break?
