Hey guys, my name is Paul and I've been kayak fishing for a little over three years. I've lived in Central California (Monterey Bay) for the past three years and am an active member on your sister site, NCKA. California provided me with some unbelievable fishing memories and a whole bunch of kayak fishing buddies. It has been hard to leave but I recently decided to move back to Bozeman, MT where I've spent most of my life. I've also lived in Spokane and Walla Walla, WA and know how good the fishing is in the PNW so I'm also hoping to get out that way next summer and fish for steelhead, salmon and walleye. Also, my aunt and uncle recently moved to the Oregon coast and I'm sure next summer I'll need to get my salt fix and head that way.

I'm not sure how active the NWKA community is in Montana but I'd love to hookup with some members who have some knowledge on fishing the rivers and lakes around Bozeman or elsewhere from a kayak. Raft and shore fly fishing are really all I've done in the Bozeman area but I'm excited to rip some lips from the yak or even use it to get to some hunting grounds. Thanks for having me, looking forward to meeting some of you.

Paul

....and now for some California fishporns

Not a lot of kayak anglers in Western Montana.  Contact me if you want to head west from Bozeman for some fishing.

Welcome, Paul. Hope you'll make it to Depoe Bay for ORC next summer and you're always welcome to join us in the Portland area for some salmon, sturgeon, etc.

I'll be out that way probably July 2016 but maybe 2017 with the family and we always try to get in some kayak fishing when we vacation.  I'll hit you up for local intel when time draws closer.

Definitely plan on ORC for your salt fix.  Should be second Saturday in July, runs out of Depoe Bay and has been great times.
