Dang Rudy!  For any of you out there that have a pipe dream in mind but wouldn't do it solo and can't find a buddy. . . I work rotations and am currently living bachelor lifestyle, so I'm available 50% of the time with enough prior notice.  Just sayin'...  ;D

Wasn't the world record broken this summer in homer? Is that it?! Bigger than any I saw in Seward. I think our biggest was probably 70 lbs or so

Wow - that's one outrageous fish!    Well done Huntress.  I've caught some pretty big ones, but someone has just moved the goalposts...

Low-Sky - wish list for me is definitely to load up kayak and gear and get on the boat to Kodiak for a few days or a week and see what can be found from down there.  I haven't been there in over 15 years, and haven't ever kayak fished there so need to do a bit of research.    Kardinal has made a trip (and some great photo-evidence too)  I am guessing he might be convinced to repeat the experience, or draw us up some cartoon maps and hints....

I am thinking this next spring/summer might be good timing for me.   Suggest we start a thread / topic as we get towards spring specifically for this idea.

I definitely want to go to Kodiak.  But this time, i want to go hunt for big kings.  That means May.  Not sure how the halibut fishing will be at the time.  2014 we went in late August.  Too late to catch the pink run (halibut feed on them) and a little early for the Coho run.  So if not may, I am thinking late July.

Another crazy thing to try for me is personal use herring fishery in Cook Inlet.
Someone also needs to cracj the saltwater sockeye fishery nut.  I've hooked a few.  Need to get a consistent system down.
I still haven't caught my giant octopus
For those who can tolerate endless hours of getting blanked, I am almost certain a winter king fishery can be developed out of Seward or Homer.
Big Lake trout from lake Louise is also on my list.

hmmm....a LOT more to do...just got to figure out when and how....  More later I am sure.
