As for Washington judges,  Rev hasn't participated in a long time. As for me,  I had 5 family members and a close friend die this year. I'm pretty much checked out until I feel like messing with it.  Step up and volunteer if you don't like waiting.  I think I got out to fish less than 10 times this year.

Lee, that is terrible!  I'm very sorry for your loss.  We met at a HOW event in the spring and I very much enjoyed talking fishing with you and some of the other guys!
Though Noah called my post a "fair criticism" the intent was never to criticize.  I was just offering up my experience as a first timer and a perspective that mini victories are very motivating to guys like me who have no expectations of winning in the end.  I can't control what a comment will stimulate once it is posted... But I can assure you that the intent was not to complain or heap any additional burden on your shoulders.  I hope to see you on the water in 2016 sometime!

I'm pretty sure I presented this to the judges a couple years ago and nobody seemed to care.  I guess I forgot to tell the new judges this year.  I'm not sure if anyone other than BigJim uses the feed at NCKA.

So anyway, there is a recent pending catch RSS feed...

If you're savy you know what to do with the RSS, if not I recommend something like IFTTT.com  which can be used to set up an email anytime something new is added to the RSS feed.  I even have a IFTTT recipe that I can give you to help set things up.

I may want to tweak the RSS to include links to the admin view rather than the public view of recent catches.

I'm hesitant for that RSS feed to get widely used.  We used to use that for the display that used to go to the left column.  But we had some serious issues on the server due to the increased load.

I've edited our posts and removed references to the actual RSS feed URL.  I'll provide support for that feed to the AOTY judges on the private judging board.  It's shouldn't be that much of a load on the server as opposed to pulling the feed in everytime someone loads the NWKA front page.

A few updates:

1. Please give me video clips of you fishing for AOTY points this year! I would like to make a quick video displaying as many members as possible to advertise/hype AOTY 2016. I can accept video in any format - just put it up on dropbox, google drive, etc. and let me know where it is. A private message here is fine or you can reply to this thread.

2. The process to acquire some prizes for AOTY 2016 has begun. Because I'm starting this so late in the year I may not be able to have a very good idea of what prizes will be available for a while, but my goal is to be able to provide some kind of prize, even if it's small, for the top 10 spots in 2016. Hopefully if we get the ball rolling this year we can secure better prizes for future years.

3. If you are willing to help ask for donations to the prize pool, even just to solicit from one store or vendor, it would be greatly appreciated. Please PM me.
