Bring it boys.  I feel like I deserve it after crackering that fish on Sunday.

Allen,

Here's the URL to the Asshat avatar in my gallery if you'd like to do the honors.

I can't bring myself to bestow the asshat on a guy that has hooked more salmon that I have this year.  And to kick a guy while he's down after losing a nice one ... no asshat-ery there, just bum luck.

But if spot can't back his talk with a monster ling, there no stopping me from unleashing the asshat.  The glove has been thrown down ...

There can be big lings out by the Haystack Rock below the reef, DEEP.

Back in 1994 I landed a 36# ling that took nearly an hour to real in.  We were in a 14' Dory that a buddy of mine (Joe) built back in high school.

Come to think of it, I got a good story to go along with that day!

That ling was the reason I met my wife.   My other buddy (Steve) that went down there with me for the day of fishing, worked with these two girls at Fred Meyers, and invited them over for a BBQ that evening to hopefully make ends meet.  >:D

Long story shortened, Jen instantly was interested in me and we hooked up.  Amy had NO interest in Steve whatsoever, so he was out.  Jen and I spent 2 years together and decided to get married in 1996.  Still going strong to this day!

Just need to get back down there and get some lings.   ;D

Funnier part to the story.  I originally met him while applying for a full ride scholarship at a small school like ITT.   Turns out we were in the top 4 out of 150 applicants and I eventually nailed the scholarship.  Poor Steve, I got his degree, and his girl.  ;D

Come to think of it, we should have named my first born (daughter) "Ling".

How funny would that be?
