Steelhead fishing has been phenomenal lately. I feel like I'm finally getting it dialed in. I've caught a few here and there over the last few years, even landed a couple from the kayak. But it finally seems like everything is coming together and all the pain and suffering that go with targeting this fish was actually worth it. I've had some pretty awesome days fishing so far in 2016. I even caught a bunch of fish on hand tied jigs, that's icing on the cake.

I plan on using these new tricks throughout the next few weeks while on the kayak.

Tried to post this earlier but it timed out for some reason. Here are some pictures from some recent outings.

Wow...amazing.  I'm hoping to catch one this February near the coast.  From what I've heard, they're one of the toughest fish to land out here.  Congrats (and nice pictures)!

Excellent, Chris.  Congratulations!
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Nice, Chris. That's double what I got last year right there. I did manage my first of the year yesterday and had a big one hand me my ***. Definitely the most challenging species around here.
