Kayak Shed's 3rd annual Bonneville Bass Bonanza will be held Saturday June 4th, 2016!

Details and signups and all that good stuff will be coming soon from the folks at Kayak Shed, but I can tell you that you don't want to miss this event. This is a single biggest fish, catch-photo-release tourney held in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. The Columbia River mainstem and connected backwaters are the target fishing areas.

I made this video of my experience at last year's event - check it out if you're interested.

good job on the video.  Thanks for sharing.  It definitely gets me excited for bass fishing.  I have the Bonanza on my calendar now and hope to make it this year.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Hoping to make it again this year.  This is a fun tournament and a good time to demo the new Hobie kayaks afterwards.

I do have a quick question for any of you that may spend any amount of time in the columbia, is there an abundance of crawfish? Every time I drive out I see alot of areas I would love to try for smallies, but in some of the videos and such I don't notice many guys targeting smallies with crawdads, is this because no one has tried it or because it doesn't work?
If any of you have time to give some crawdads a try this spring let me know how that works for ya.
