Always odd when folks join a forum to promote one thing or another.

Nonetheless, welcome.

Tinker,

Thank you for the welcome. I was actually urged by CJ at Next Adventure, as well as Brian Steves (admin of this forum) to bring this topic up on this forum. I can assure you that I am not only here to promote something and leave, but am here to become part of this community, and to help build the sport.

Yes, I reached out to Aaron after seeing his Facebook page for this tournament series.  We have lots of bass anglers here but very few tournaments for them.  I should have warned him that some of our members are a suspicious lot and need to be swooned first.

Where are some good places in the greater Albany, Oregon area to kayak fish for bass?

jsmmccormick - I launched the club only a few days ago and we already have 15 members, so it is picking up steam! Once we get enough members who can attend a meeting in the next month, we will meet and shape the club! If you go to the website and click join, and send your information, I can keep you up to date on what is happening. Thanks!

bb2fish -
There are a lot of great places to bass fish in the greater Albany area. Check out google maps and look around, there are quite a few park ponds and almost all of them have bass in them.  I caught a 7 lber right in the middle of town this last year.  I don't know of any that do not allow kayaks in Albany.

Yes indeed!  Dinner and drinks first, please.    ;D

Thanks Zach!

I just finished adding you to the roster and sent you an email to thank you for joining. I will be putting together a meeting as soon as we get enough members to get a large group met up.  At that time we will go over the format of the trail and discuss possible tournament locations, format, money, etc. I will email you with information as it develops!  Thanks!

Thanks for signing up guys! As of right now we have 23 members signed up and ready to fish! A good third of those members are fairly far away and cannot come to a meeting in the valley somewhere, so I am waiting on maybe another 10 members that can come to a meeting to join.  Then we can all get together and talk about this club and how we want to form it.  I look forward to meeting and fishing with all of you soon!
