Tillamook time for crabs

Ok most of you know I look out my window at the bay every day , I also listen to and interrogate every fisherman that I can. Up till today it's been a crab or three here and there not that many fish kinda month, until today that is. Redbeard stopped bye today to say whasup after 3 crabs from the yak and perch. My neighbor goes out almost daily (PB)and got a bucket full of crabs today and about 4 perch but ran out of bait usually 10-12 crabs per his "bucket" pending size. So I finally sucked up the assaninly increased prices and got my fish and shellfish license as well as my invasion wallet permit... I mean my invasive species permit!! DON'T GET ME STARTED THERE. As a guy with arthritis I can tell you the the winter months are BRUTAL. I'm going to hit the lake a few times to brush up on hopping back in and get the arms stretched and in the paddle grove, if anyone wants to hit the water let me know and I'll check the tides and wind.

Updated with tide and weather snapshots and the wind will be light for those lucky enough to be able to fish week days.

Is it REALLY 73 degrees there today?

I don't know but yesterday I was cooking in my drysuit and plenty warm in jeans and a t-shirt back on shore. Beautiful day.

Don't know but I didn't put on the wetsuit on the lake with 58-60 degree water and no wind it was HOT

It was 79 degrees down here at Coos Bay with a very lite east wind. Be hitting the lakes Wed. and the bay Thurs.

I read 71 degrees at one point Sunday between Tillymuck and Hebo. So yeah, I'll believe 73 today for sure.

An unidentified Smokeyangler might try to make a go at a Saturday Tillamook bay trip I can go and if that works maybe a Sunday trip I'm not going because I like to live, breath, and be able to fish!

Do you mean Saturdays and Sundays, generically ? Or are you talking about this coming weekend, specifically ?

'cause on Saturday I'm taking Mrs. P to the expo center, and Sunday is Feb 14, and you all know what that means....yep. TWD starts up again.

You poor fellers with Valentine specific obligations to fulfill. 

My wife learned early on, (like before she got the ring), there won't be any flowers, diamonds, or chocolate purchased by me for that goofy ass not real holiday. 

For the second year in a row, we will be hitting the Moda Center as a family (of 4) to watch the Monster Trucks destroy themselves. And the wife ordered the tickets herself with no arm twisting, whining, or complaints.  Gotta love a chick that can handle loud obnoxious trucks.

I have been married since 1990 for a reason. I know when to fight and I know when to delegate. That way we don't need the UN to step in life's much safer that way. 

I'm going to give it a try with Shannon Saturday if the weather isn't too crazy.  I need to get out on the salt again and hopefully bring home some fish for dinner.
