Helloooo kayak fishing friends! I've been lurking here for a while as I get my equipment up to snuff to participate in this field.

I have a habit of gearing to the max for anything I do.... this is no exception!  ;D

Last year I bought a Hobie Outback, this year I am gearing it up! Sooo this last week I bought a fishfinder, dedicated powercell, a downrigger to customize, dedicated kokanee pole to gear, ram mount pole holder install, and to geartracs to hold it all!!!  :banjo:
At least it has been raining and blowing in central Oregon as I just might get enough time to install it all before the rest of the lakes open up!

Thank you to AlexB  8), for the pictures and tutorial on the Scotty Depthmaster install, you may or may not have an odd colored twin on the water this year!

Now, about me! I grew up on the Oregon coast for 30 years, fishing for ocean fish, steelhead, salmon, and moved to central Oregon three years ago. I'm just getting used to hauling 4 feet of tackle for a fish that is 10" long.   :) I am going to slay konanee this year!!!   ;) Odell is 50 minuites from my house, Wickiup is 25, Paulina is 25, just for reference. I fished most of the lakes this last year, and had mixed luck... mostly because lack of gear (downrigger!)... not going to happen again!!

Anyhow, great community here- lots of info.

Feel free to PM me if you want to tag along, invite or just exchange info.

Or if all else fails, I'll see you on the water!!

Welcome Code!  I'm in CO also (just S of Sisters) and looking to explore lakes this year as well.  I'm fairly new to the area and need to get the boat wet way more often this year.  I'll PM you my info.
