Hi all, recent transplant from CA to Portland. Been a longtime member of NCKA, primarily an ocean and lake guy but my first love has always been fishing rivers for salmonids. I am incredibly excited to explore all the miles of waterways OR has to offer and looking forward to making some fishing buds.

Welcome Otolith, I too,  love to chase the elusive salmon.  Shoot me a PM and we will get out on the water. I can show you a few places around the Portland area.

Welcome to the group. Plenty of rivers and bays in the NW for fishing. See you on the water.

Welcome otolith!  As the first shot at local salmon for the year is fast approaching, you too can attempt to not catch a spring salmon!  And if you get chance to go out with certain Portland area members of this forum (names withheld to protect the innocent/guilty), it can be fun watching them catch fish...

BTW - a great chance to meet up with folks also interested in catching salmon from a kayak - Mar 17 @ Hoggs in Hillsboro and Mar 24 @ Next Adventure in Portland.

Welcome to NWKA and Portland.  You timed your move perfectly, fishing in Portland is about to get really fun/frustrating.
