That is so awesome!  I wonder if I could get Kokatat to make me a Power Rangers Predator?

Not to thread-jack but where do you guys put your VHF on the Chinook? I can't get it out of the way enough and end up not having it on my person a lot of the time (which I don't prefer for safety reasons).

I was clipping it on the loop part of the front but I find myself hitting buttons when fighting bigger fish so ive been tethering to my vest too

Depends for me... most times I clip it to the left shoulder strap, sometimes I just have it clipped to a small paracord loop with a clip on my PFD somewhere. A few times, I have found myself putting it in my Outback's cup holder, but as you mentioned for safety reasons I try not to do that.

I clip mine under my arm on the right side on one of the straps that run from the front to the back of the pfd.  I then tether it to a spot on the front of my pfd.  I am looking into getting the remote mic though cause its a PITA to unclip it from under my arm sometimes.

If you look closely at my pfd you'll see its in the left pocket and hooked to my whistle lanyard on my pfd's strap. Can usually talk on it clipped just chin down and push the button I sometimes will just clip it to the strap as well.

Nice thread. I'm in the market as well the Kokatat Bihia  or the NRS Chinook... hmm. The VHS has been a Pain in the... for use on the Stohlquist Angler. And the ear jack sounds like a great idea.

Not looking to match the  Barbie Rod but I'm going to get a his and hers set when I get back to town. A great way to start the wife involved in kayak fishing.
Do they make the Ken fishing pole I can get for her?

The Kokatat Bahia Tour and SeaO2 have VHF pockets built-in. I'm a big dude and the Bahia Tour fits very comfortably over my drysuit with extra layers underneath and even my wading jacket when it's too cold.

If you're in market for a new PFD, NRS just posted a clearance sale on them in their electronic newsletter.

www.nrsweb.com should get you to their site.

I checked out cabelas and decided not to go that route. I ended up getting the West Marine Medalist. The quality is far superior and it is much more comfortable.
