Any Recent Updates from Lake Merwin and Yale Reservoir?

With all the rain and only short breaks in between for the water to settle down, I am guessing that Merwin and Yale are pretty turbid and not too productive for Kokanee. Any updates to the contrary?

2' vis. Folks who normally are limiting in a few hours are taking the whole day to get 5/two rods. Give it another month.

Just like uplandsandpiper said folks are having some luck, but it's not what it could be.

...Will give the lakes a little more time!! Hope to meet some of you up there once the action starts in earnest.

I made it out last Saturday to Merwin. TONS of debris in the lake and the lake levels were up about 7 feet (it has since gone back to 230', 240' is full). The visibility still isn't great, 2 feet at most. It was pretty slow for most boats, only heard of a few caught, didn't see a single net go down in 4+ hours. After an hour or so of fruitless trolling I was thinking things were going to get skunky but after switching up lures and depths, finally got some bites on pink and yellow/pink splatter wiggle hoochies 15-25' on the downrigger. Landed a pair, lost a bigger koke right at the net, and the only fish I saw caught were my own which is kinda nice but just goes to show how slow it was for most folks. After the few bites, it shut off again and I started switching out lures to no avail.

Can't wait to try again in better conditions!
