I'm new here.  I just wanted to say hello and get started.

I fish around The Dalles and Hood River.  I currently fish out of a 10 foot Nucanoe, but I'm looking for something a little faster.  I fish almost exclusively for bass.

Welcome.  Great to have another yak fisher around here.

Is the bass exclusivity a preference or experience thing?  Fall Chinook can be awesome fishing if you haven't tried it.

True!  I wasn't expecting to meet somebody here I know.  Anonymity be gone :)

I can catch, and have caught, salmon--I used to work for ODFW on the Deschutes river.  I just prefer to avoid crowds of fishermen.  I enjoy fishing for them occassionaly, but I would fish for bass every day if I could.

You'll need to talk to Gabe C. when you get a chance about Bass. That kid's got them dialed in pretty well. I'd love to do more bass fishing, but I find myself doing more of the "meat fish"fishing as of late.
