PM sent, Art.  Let's talk.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

If you have time after Alaska come down to Oregon I know everyone will try there hardest to make a day on the water with a good honest mad from Texas as long as the stories are as tall as they are in Texas. PS: we got new maintenance men and a guy that actually knows electrical working here now so the boxes all work :o

Art -- You know we support you, so whenever you need to draw on that for strength, we are here!  Even if it's just a simple post on a forum like this!  Meeting up with a community of comrades lets you know you're not alone.  I hope your trek to AK with your son is fulfilling - it can't ever fill the void of your lost loved one, but you can still have some wonderful times and enjoy everyone whose path you cross.  Calm waters ahead for you, bud.

Even friends you've never met...  I can't imagine what you must be feeling, but friends help to lighten any load.

 Hey Art,
My door is always open to you. If you are having hard times---- I'll do anything and everything possible to make it better.
You are gonna have a great time in Alaska with your son. I just feel it.
We will get you out on the Willapa or Colombia and get you some fish.
Keep your head up and see the good that is out there. You know it's there. Just keep your eyes open.
Looking forward to more time together... on the water or just sitting by a campfire. We will make it happen.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Very sorry to hear of your wife's passing Art.  I hope there's a chance to fish with you when you make it through WA.

my sincere condolences.. we will get you back on track for positive thoughts.  I can't even imagine what you must be going through.  Hopefully the adrenalin of a few good fish will ease some of the pain.
