??  Is it closed or flooded?

Just the wrong location for the group event.  The ramp is on the Channel - while we'll be a couple miles up the river.

No ramp?  Is this the area on Sauvie referred to as "the edge"? Not sure about being able to launch my PA with no ramp. Would it be better to just leave it at home and plan on just helping out from shore?  Let me know what would work best.

Shannon - look at Anthony's image - it shows a location right on the Gilbert River.  Not sure about your map app - at least you're on the right continent!

Well, either way, I'm looking forward to seeing this spot, I've been up the Gilbert river several times, pretty area, be nice to have another way in without having to peddle/paddle all the way.  Plus, I finally get a chance to meet Mojo Jojo and Insayn, spend some time fishing with other vets, and the weather report keeps getting better. Looking forward to Saturday.

This is going to be epic.

Just like The Babe I called my shot and said it was going to be epic. It was a squid day and we brought 4 bricks! Everyone hooked up and the tugs had the speedo pegged on smiles per hour.

Game ball goes to the folks from the HOW NWest Chapter that drove us a trailer load of kayaks all the way down, spent the night in a fleabag motel, and worked their asses off so 17 Veterans could have a day to remember.

Thanks to all the Volunteers that came out to help. You all are the beating heart and soul of HOW and without you there's no us.

Also a hardy golf clap for The Cider Mill/Fryer Tuck Chicken for throwing us a pan of coleslaw. Not having to break out the Cuisinart was a big time saver buddy.

May is kind of a "bye" month for our chapter. Mom's Day, WA Halibut, Tillamook Bay May Day fundraiser, and Memorial Day don't leave us room to wiggle. So we hope to see everyone again up in Hood River on June 4th for the Bonneville Bass Bonanza III.
