New member from Boise ID region - ScubaCuda

Hi, I've been kayak fishing for a few years now and have am getting into the sport more than ever before. I'm paddling the Jackson Kayak Cuda 12 and have spent the majority of my time chasing bass on the snake river and local lakes / ponds. I'm hoping to get into some big game like the white sturgeon this year with a couple of friends. There's an event on May 21st in Tillimook bay that I would also like to get into.

Since the TBMD2 event will be held on salt water, is there certain requirements that the kayak will need? Safety lights, special registration, required electronics,  etc? This will be my first time on saltwater and just want to be prepared before I get there.

You need an Oregon invasive species permit and can purchase that at the same place you get your license and salmon tag if your going after salmon. Launch will be after first light so no lighting needed safety flags recommended but not required, you will need at the minimum a wetsuit or paddle suit in the event you go for a little swim waters kinda cold.

It should be fun.  I'm hoping to set up camp Thur night if I can find a dog sitter.  I'll be scouting fish on Friday. 

there are a lot of prizes available.  It should be  a great time.

I just got scheduled to be in Montana on a work trip through the 21st. If we get it done and head home early there's a slight chance I might still be able to make it.
