Kayak demos

My prents are wanting to demo a few kayaks. I have heard that you can but have forgotten the names of the places. What are the shops that demo kayaks. Are there any in the bend area?  Also which are best in Portland?

Best to find a shop that carries the brands and models you are looking fir, then contact them. Some have demo day events that make it real easy to demo several in a row. Others don't demo at all. Still others will have some sort of rental option where you get credit back if you make a purchase after renting.

It is also worth calling the shops that carry quality brands even if they don't carry what you had in mind "on paper", if they have a demo day especially you may stumble on a kayak you had previously ignored or taken off your list, but on seeing and paddling turns out to be right.
