I spent the last week in Corvallis on family business which occupied me until noon each day.  Because I flew there and couldn’t fit my kayak in the overhead compartment, C_Run kindly loaned me a kayak and some gear.  I thrashed around on the Willamette near Corvallis for several afternoons, but was unable to hook onto either a salmon or a sturgeon.  Then C_Run felt sorry for me and took  me bass fishing on the Luckiamute.  It was fun, and I avoided the embarassment of being completely skunked for the whole week.

Here’s C_Run in action.

Nice job Pete!! Hope all is going well with your family situation there, I am sure it's nice to get on the water and relax too.

It was great meeting celebrity fisherman, pmmpete. I feel kind of bad about promoting salmon fishing on the upper Willamette as it has always been tough for me and I had never tried from a kayak before. I learned a lot about what not to do. I offered to buy his bass since it was an inch and a half longer than mine for my AOTY points.
