Not sure how many of you bass fisherman know that KBF holds regional online tournaments. As of right now there is no one signed up for the Northwest region, which includes Washington and Oregon. Myself and a handful of other kayak anglers are looking to compete it these tournaments. We are trying to get as many others to compete as well. It would be nice to compete against other anglers in Washington and Oregon.

If this is something you are interested in let us know! I know the Idaho guys have been competing in the Western tournament, so feel free to chime in on what you guys think too.

I will be up for doing this! Looks like the next one starts June 1st. I bet we could get quite a few Washington/Oregon Bass chasers for this. Too bad the Idaho guys aren't also part of the Northwest region.

I'd be up for it. Are the KBF tourneys specific to a species meaning just large or smallmouth or are both okay?

Looking at the rules on the KBF website, both LMB and SMB are counted. It's your best 3 fish for the month for the regional challenge series.

I think I'm going to sign up, a little pricey for the 1st tourney, you have to join KBF for $50, but spread that over several tourney's, not too bad.

I'm interested in this.  It'll be fun to compete against others in our region.  I'll probably need help getting signed up and how to enter fish, etc.  Lol.

Awesome!! sounds like we need to spread the word, and see if we can get a big crew going. The KBF membership is worth having, when you look at all the discounts and benefits they offer. I can help you with the setup Mike, just let me know when.

Also the next tournament begins June 1st! So if anyone wants to compete for that month long tournament, you need to get signed up soon so you don't miss the deadline.

I'd be interested depending on location and format of everything!

The format is Northwest region which is (Oregon and Washington)

Top 3 Biggest Bass (length) "measured on a hawg trough with your personal KBF identifier"
-you can submit many catches, but they will only use top 3

you can fish anywhere in Oregon or Washington to be able to submit your catch in the northwest region

I have paid the $50 to register (was planning on it anyways just to support what they're doing.) It looks like each tourney is $10? There's only 1 person signed up for the Northwest for June, not that it's a lot of money but $10 to "compete" with 1 or 2 other people seems a bit silly when there's no prizes or payouts. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, if it was free (other than the yearly fee) then I would do it gladly.

These are awesome online events guys, I am a KBF member and participate in the monthly events! If you win then you get a qualifying spot at the national championship and a chance at $35k!!
There has to be 10 anglers for each division to make it, read up on the rules, it does cost a one time annual fee to be a KBF member you get a shirt and some stickers.
If you look at the west division you will see my name and some of the guys that you may have met at an idaho event, my buddy Jack Eames qualified last month and so far Hobie teammate Tom Monahan is in the lead this month. So you know a group of idaho boys will be at the national championship in Tennessee!! Get signed up at Tourneyx.com and become a KBF member!

Yeah I understand man, thats why we need everyone to spread the word. If anyone has sponsors or is looking for sponsors, having a tournament winning looks good to them. You have the opportunity to qualify for a chance at the national tournament, if that is something you wish to do. The KBF regional tournament is pretty much the only online tournament for this area, but partners can make their own tournaments if they want.

I run Tricity Kayak Anglers and I'm looking to partner with KBF, so we can do our own tournament out here. I don't think I will have ours run the whole month, but we most likely will have it be a pay out format.

I wish they would allow the eastern part of WA and OR compete with other states in the west. They said its based on climate, but we really aren't that much different...

Your right Jordan, I wish they would to and a little persistence goes a long ways, I am in the process of trying to partner with them too. And that's the thing, it is blowing up right now! Everyone wants in on the action.

I am with you on the whole thing, just don't want to sign up if there's only 5 of us participating you know? It's sort of the chicken before the egg thing... No one wants to sign up if there's not enough people and then no one signs up even if there's enough people. I agree that I wish they would lump the "West" in with the Northwest in this regard since there's enough folks competing there.
