Fogbank here, lots of fog in the Rogue Valley but it doesn't smell near as good as the ocean.  My lady friend wanted me to get a kayak to paddle with her, but I was lukewarm until I tripped over fishing from a kayak on the ocean.  Now I can't wait to get an Outback and learn how to do this safely.

So I would like to hear from those who fish the south half.  Plan on a guided trip out of Brookings this month then getting to Depoe Bay for the Classic to observe and learn, about best gear and clothing to buy on a limited budget.  Thanks for all the great info you share on the forum!

Hi, and welcome.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
