Hi
My name is Scott and I am on Ncka a lot but I really appreciate reading the reports and seeing the pics from farther north. I grew up in far Northern California fishing the Trinity County area and miss the clear mountain rivers with the salmon and steelhead runs. We used to go up to Oregon when I was young and camp with my uncle who would spend his summers on the coast crabbing and fishing. I hope to make it over to the Oregon coast again sometime for some good fishing and beautiful  scenery.

I live in shingle springs which is in the foothills between Sacramento and south Lake Tahoe. Nice but I miss the big mountains

Is that a fiberglass boat you're paddling? Nice looking fish, nice looking boat.

Not fiberglass but close. I fish from a eddyline Caribbean 14. It is a great boat but the stock seat leaves something to be desired. Very squeaky ! I rigged it up with a stadium seat I cut and modified and it is much better. Those new Eddyline C135 seem pretty sweet that may be my next ride but I don't dislike my current boat enough to justify the money for the upgrade
The fish pic is from a trip over to fort Ross earlier this year on the Sonoma coast (north of San Francisco a couple hours). I think it was the only time I have made it out this year I have been busy with work and I have been delving deep into the art of pouring and painting lead jig heads. Fun but it has been a big project
