hagg lake

after reading these threads on hagg lake a couple of friends and i decided to give it a go. weather was warm and nice with little wind. we fished trout magnets and flys in the creek arms and managed a few perch and bluegill. my buddy got a trout but he was in a drift boat so it does not count . i was able to actually go faster then him in his drift boat, guess he needs a bigger electric motor. was busy there but not as bad as will probably be next weekend. we got there about 12:30 i left about 5:00.

Nice report. It's a nice lake when there isn't too many wake or ski boats.

Sticking to the creek arms helps to eliminate some of the traffic.  Also stay to the north end of the lake where there is a no wake zone.  If you are after trout though at this time of year they are usually in the deeper water down by the dam.  Personally, I'd rather stay at the upper end and fish for bass and crappie this time of year.

The ski boats can make the bass fishing good.  Try the muddy shorelines near rock structure when the boats are kicking up waves.  I often find lots of bass hanging out in the mud plumes along the shoreline on days like that.
