Abu Garcia rod

Hello NWKA -

So I have a 2 piece abu Garcia veritas 2.0 rod (6'9") that I broke this weekend. I snapped the rod tip off.


Does anyone have the top half of this rod in their garage they want to sell me??

Yeah no kidding.. well if anyone finds the missing piece ill be here waiting

Is it broke too far down that you can not just replace the tip?

Apply for a warranty replacement. Get a photo and submit it to their online claims service. You also should have a dated receipt.... There is a 3 year warranty I think.

so it wasn't the tip tip of the rod... it broke off around the 5th eye hole

Can you post a picture of the break?  It might be fairly easy to repair if it's that far down, depending on what kind of break it is.

Good idea I hadn't thought about that.
I emailed them last night with all the information they requested.

Abu replied to my email and they are sending me a replacement rod!!!! 


I'm still in the market for the top half of my broken rod though so if anyone has one for sale I'm interested.

Well now you have a spare bottom !

You can throw a line counter on it and turn it into a poor man's downrigger.
