For anyone thinking of having a second drive as a backup, this would be the thing to buy as your primary, and move your current to backup status.

For anyone who already has a backup drive, they are busily snapping pencils into small pieces and muttering unmentionables....

As someone with a 2016 Hobie who bought a spare drive.... "grumble grumble".  If this new reversing drive is much more expensive than the current drive, it won't be worth the cost to get into one. If it's close to the cost of the current drive, the value of my spare just took a huge hit and won't be worth selling. Looks like one of these new drives won't be in my future until I buy my next Hobie (if ever).
