Intro New Alaska Kayak Fisher

Hello All,

Currently residing in Eagle River, just bought a Hobie Outback right before memorial day weekend.  Been getting her wet just about every weekend since.  Caught my first halibut from it 4th of July weekend down in Homer, about a 15lb'er.

Grew up fishing in Corpus Christi, TX.  Had a Prowler down there, fished the laguna and surf quite a bit.  It's been taking some time getting used to the different fishing style up here, but I'm loving every second of it.  Gotta love that mirage drive too!  Where has this thing been my whole life?

Hope to cross paths with other Yak fishers up here.  Can't miss me out and about, at 6'10" I make my 12ft Outback look small!!!
