Another Nehalem reprot

After my work schedule for the weekend changed, I briefly thought I would be able to make the Oregon derby... that was dashed by house chores, so I ended up making due with a Sunday fishing trip down to the bay.

Put in around 9 from Wheeler, fished till 2.  Drizzled all day.  There were tons of coho jumping along the island all the way up to the confluence with the North Fork, but few biters.   Pressure was pretty heavy for the Nehalem (maybe 15 boats-20 trolling where I was, the 101 boat ramp was jam packed).  I caught one jack on an orange spinner, saw one other jack caught, and heard about a nice chinook that was landed.

Thinking of going back and targeting the coho in the N. Fork again this week, maybe putting in at the Aldervale boat ramp.  Anyone have any experience with that area?

Small spinners retrieved with the current flow should produce.

Spinners work well, herring also works really well ( plug cut for a really tight fast roll) fished at mid depth.
