What is the best way to secure something to the inside of the my Hobie Revo 13 hull?  For example, I have a battery for my  sonar that I don't want sliding around.   Do I just use some velcro tape?

I use a foam block cut to fit the battery TIGHT and marine hooped it to the hull, no pick right now but I can get you one tomorrow if it's needed.

My battery sits in a rack specifically for an 8" hatch. Hangs on the hatch lip. Holds it up out of any incidental water in the hull, too. This is an outback, but do the Revos have an 8"er ?

Revos have 8" hatches in front of the seat and aft of the tank well.

My SLA battery is in a watertight box.  I use two 2" x 4" Velcro patches to hold it in place and a couple of small bungees wrapped around scupper tubes (?) as back-ups.

It'll hold the box in place when the kayak is upside down, but it's not strong enough to hold it when the Revo is upside down on the rack while travelling - which is a good thing.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

You can cut the inside of the 8 inch tubs that fit the hatches to perfectly fit an 8AH SLA battery. Mount it in the rear hatch and good to go.

I also use the hobie battery holder in the rear hatch.  I had to make an extension cord for the fish finder though.

I just put my battery in a dry bag and roll it up then clip it around the sailing mast near the front hatch.

I should add that I move the battery between kayaks, so a box held by Velcro works best for me...

I use that trick for other things, like a pair of screwdrivers and a visegrips and a roll of gorilla tape for emergency repairs. The tools are in a ziplock with a squirt of froglube to fight rust, then it is all in a drybag cliped around the mast.

I just bought a four-piece cheapie paddle for emergencies. Easy to fit through the front hatch, but I still have to figure how to secure the pieces so the one I need hasn't settled to the rear of the hull when I need it.

I use that battery holder on the post in the front hatch.  A couple weeks ago I purchased a hatch liner which hits the battery holder.  Looks like I'll move the holder to the back.

Some have mentioned the emergency 4 piece paddle.  Is this in addition to the full size one? Or do some only keep emergency paddle for use when not in larger bodies of water?

In addition to my regular paddle, in case of loss or breakage by me or any others in the party.
