Hi all-
I'm new to kayak fishing but have been living and fishing in Oregon my whole life. I mostly fly fish for trout in the lakes and Deschutes River. I recently upgraded from a pontoon to a Hobie Revo 13 to gain more range and mobility. I also want to get it salty as bottom fishing has always been a favorite. A close friend in Prineville with a Revo and an Outback infected me with the bug....

I think I passed the bug on to my son yesterday. We are vacationing in Ketchikan AK and rented a Necky tandem to fish the water behind the beach house. He quickly banged a halibut limit while all I could manage were small rockfish and sole.

Happy boy!

Welcome,  just let me know when you are ready for the salt.  Pretty sure I am off that day and we will make it happen.

By the way, nice fish!  Hope your trip is awesome.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.
