Having seen the crazy prices that some of these fishing poles go for I stumbled upon this video that shows some of what goes into making a bamboo fly rod.

I had no idea how involved the process was to make a bamboo fly rod.  I now have a whole new respect for them.  Kind of makes me want to dig mine out and try it again.
