Word is this guy was in jeans and sweatshirt with no immersion gear, only a PFD. Glad he was rescued, could have been much worse.

Here are some pictures from Sunset Bay on Sunday." be warned this are not for the faint of heart" Hoodies and jeans, shorts and tee shirts and no pfd at all (2nd. photo)Side note the first couple decided to go with a extra hoodie on top of the hoodie they where all ready wearing. Second photo- well what can I say, W-Mart special not even 45 mins. old, can't get the paddle halves together, don't want get wet,shorts/tee shirt and no pfd with only a couple inches freeboard room and have the girlfriend push you out. third photo is 1 of 15 kakayers that was out there on Sunday all dress pretty much the same way"some a lot less"

No survey popped up for me, but the link Crash posted is better, anyway.

Were you fishing, boy, or just sight-seeing?  The guy rescued by the USCG was in a Sun Dolphin/Wal-Mart special, too.  Go figure.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Went out about 9 am and it was a zoo on the water all ready, new it would be but figured I could get away from the people(boy was I wrong) Outside was very bumpy so just stayed inside and fished the major tidepools and kelp beds on both sides and out on the inner reef. ended up with 7 greenlings all about 12 -12 1/2 in. Called it quits about 1pm just to many idiots out there in there Wal-Mart specials just waiting for S*&% to happen. Was on a fishing mission not a rescue mission?
