Really nice work Craig!  That's cool you made that for the tournament.
Thanks.  It was a combo of Dino's graphics combined with a chum I traced (it was free for public use).  It seems to be missing something, though.  Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

You have very strange dreams, poly...

Packed and ready to roll out in the morning. Hoping to finally get a salmon and bust that umm, "record"  with at least one...

In case you weren't sure HOW important you're participation is to the SlayRide Derby. Here is a little story from yesterday. HOW NW hosted a Veteran's Day ChumRun Event and was joined by HOW-PDX and HOW-SE WA

If you're launching across IGA and are comfortable getting in your Kayak off the boat dock, you should be able to wheel your yak down to the boat dock. The gate is open.

Hoping the divers are gone after 3pm to free up more parking at Sunrise Motel so we'll see you guys later

I tip my paddle to the organizers and the brave souls on the water.  The pictures don't do it justice.  Having been there before my kayak just look a long ride and stayed on the trailer.  Lots of guys in kayaks, I would venture that every kayak took at the very least one sleigh ride even in these tough conditions.  Either fighting a chum or with the wind dragging up to 10-lb anchors.  You can see plenty of tails within feet of the beach in some of the pictures...Pretty sure some 4 fish totals were close to 40 lbs.  Sorry for the fuzzy pics, dropped the resolution a bit and it shows.

Missed seeing you on the water, T13!

Later in the day I overheard on powerboater tell another having trouble setting his anchor, "Yeah, I'm using 85 pounds of lead."

Kudos to Dino and crew for putting together a great TWO day event.

Dark Tuna, saw you out there and offered a thumbs up but you had your hands full of fish or anchor line, lol.  I was without anchor and knew pretty much when I left home my yak was just along for the ride so others could use the groups anchor buoys.   I parked just north of the IGA and walked to the hotel to see if they needed a hand with food, weighing in the fish, etc.  A lot of folks put a lot of work into the organization.  There were several gals there doing lots of work, not sure of their names but would like to give them a thumbs up as well.  With the very high tide coming in I knew the beach would disappear and was able to help several get boats up the stairs.  When I was leaving I saw a pair coming in to the dock by the IGA and ran down to help them land in the ways.  One grinned saying paddling south into the wind back to the dock was a chore!

Again, great event and a paddle tip to the organizers and those working the grills and docks.

It was a great event.  I did not get any fish, but I sure got one heck of a workout...  And lots and lots of good food!  ;D   I collected my photos in a Facebook album, including a few video clips (nothin' special)

Glad you guys had such a successful event. I had been nursing a head cold leading up to Saturday and didn't want to exacerbate the problem with the weather forecast.
