Got a week in Maui coming up and was wondering if any of you folks have rented a SOT over there.  Has anyone done any fishing there?  We plan on plenty of snorkeling etc. and may not find the time for fishing, but would like to rent a kayak for at least one day.

Any input, advise etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

Feel free to move this to any area that seems right Allen.  I wasn't sure where to post it.

Have you checked any of the CA based bulletin boards? Besides NCKA there's a bunch that I haven't monitored in while, now that we have this local board. Here's 3-

Try sending "Trout" a PM here.  He lives in Hawaii.

Islander,

I haven't looked to see if you've asked this same question over on the Kayakfishingstuff.com forum, but there is a handful of SOT kayak anglers that hang out on that forum.  I'd bet money that they'd get a kick out of taking you out on the water for at least just one day.

If at first you don't succeed....  maybe skydiving is just not for you.

Thanks for all the info guys,

I did PM Trout Allen.  Thanks for setting up the new category and moving my post!  I'll be looking on the other boards also for info.  Gotta be a little nicer over there than what we've been seeing around here  ;D

Thanks again y'all,

Gary
