Hey all. I'm pretty new to the area and new to kayak fishing. I'd love any suggestions for good value saltwater bait casters that are small/low profile and sturdy enough for a good sized ling.
And if any one is looking for a fishing buddy hit me up I'm in Tillamook but will travel

Welcome.  Dont know if you are set up now or not, but several of us are going out on Tillamook Bay this Sunday, fishing for rock fish or perch if you are interested in going.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Hey guys. Sorry let me clarify, I'm looking for a new baitcast reel. I want something that is low profile under 200 and can be versatile.i have a few ugly sticks that will work for now, while I'm learning what gear I like.
I have to work at the hospital this weekend, looks like only a few hours so depending on when. Yall go out I'd love to join. I have the main essentials for and at minimum would enjoy getting out

You can get the information for Sunday under the forum -Oregon Kayak Fishing, topic-Calling all cabin fever kayak fishermen Sunday 29th

It is going to be first thing in the morning due to the tide.

I just bought a Shimano Tekota line counter reel for salmon and lincod that I really like.  I think I paid about $160
