I will probably be braving the crowds on saturday. Most likely C ramp in the morning. I'll be in the grey WS ATAK and will wave if I see anyone!

I may join you depending on the weather and if I can get all my chores done this week  ;D

I'm thinking of hitting Hagg Lake this weekend (Saturday or Sunday).  per hdpwipmonkey's report a couple weeks ago, looked like it was pretty murky.  Would be interested to know if anyone has been there since and had any success..?

I'll post if/when I decide to go.  I'm new to the forum and will be in a red hobie rev 13, likely testing out my new Hobbie outrigger...

I ended up going and had poor luck for being on the water for as long as I was.  Water was definitely murky.   Only fish of the day that I caught was when I was having lunch on the bank; power bait off the bottom.  The bankies seemed to be doing decent, but the trollers weren't having much success.

Those freshly stocked fish tend to hang pretty close to shore since it's shallower and better resembles the hatchery where they were previously living. If you're going to troll then do it super shallow near the shoreline.

I went last Saturday from the bank with my son and we managed 7 fish in about an hour, but it took us about 5 hours to find them.  They were all caught down by the dam where the old road goes into the water.  Powerbait on the bottom within about 5-10 feet from shore.  Water was still real murky too.

Thanks for the info!  I may fight the rain and give it a go tomorrow, if for no other reason than to get my kayak on the water for the first time this year...

I may see you out there tomorrow.  It's my birthday and I want to do some fishing.  Looks like Hagg is it.  I'll be launching from boat ramp A around morning sometime 😀.  I'll be on channel 69 on my VHF.

Cool Matt.

Change of plans, I think I am going to launch from the paddle craft area (just on the other side of the dam) that way I won't have to worry about PBs.

Which is the paddlecraft area? Is that in that cove on the other side of the lake from Ramp A?

Just across the dam in the gravel lot.

Here is a close up of the lot.

You'll follow that gravel path into the woods and down to the water.
