hey all,   new to the group. I am from the east side of Washington.  I have a 2017 pa 14 and wanting to participate in the halibut fishing from Neah Bay.  I have kayak fished for a while but this is my first Hobie and I am excited.  I get to do a lot of walleye fishing and sturgeon fishing, steelhead fishing, salmon fishing, pretty much anything my area has to offer. I am more than willing to share any info I can from my area on any of the species we have.  I am hoping to be able to find a group that goes fishing out of Neah Bay for halibut and be able to join them on a outing.  I don't have any kayak fishing groups that are active that I can find in my area.

READY FOR THE NEXT BIG ADVENTURE!

Welcome Jimbob! If you're on Fishbook, oops I meant Facebook, you should checkout the groups North Idaho Kayak Anglers & Kayak Fishing Washington to meet with some like minded fishermen in your area. Good luck on your bucket list adventures & maybe see you OTW!

thank you for the suggestions ... not interested in a guide .. I am quite capable and Idaho is the wrong direction .... hoping to find folks that fish the coast and willing to just enjoy the company of others ... its proving hard to find a group willing to do that.

You're welcome. I didn't say anything about a guide. You're capable of what?... not sure what your referring to here.

"hoping to find folks that fish the coast and willing to just enjoy the company of others"
Yes other kayak fishermen in those groups I mentioned often frequent the coast & many of them are quite capable & able Halibut fishermen.

"... its proving hard to find a group willing to do that." Hard to find, really? You've deduced this from your 3 posts on this site?

Would you leave him alone about going with a guide, already ? He said he doesn't need one.

I may have made a assumption, never a good thing my apologies,  I thought the fb page was that of a guide it said "book now "   I don't mean to make waves.  just looking for a group that fishes and I can possibly join them from time to time ....specifically anything coastal  .. my main reason is for safety ... its never good to go alone.

Be sure to browse around NWKA and look to hit up some of our heavily decorated members that put in the time to be qualified Pro Staff for various fishing gear and kayak companies.

These guys are top notch guys and can get you on fish.
