The ocean salmon season alternatives for ocean recreational and commercial troll salmon seasons were approved by the Pacific Fishery Management Council on Monday, March 13. The PFMC will now be accepting public comment on the alternatives through mail, email, and testimony at public hearings in Westport, WA; Coos Bay, OR; and Fort Bragg, CA. Details on the hearings and the April PFMC meeting in Sacramento, CA to set the final seasons are available at PFMC Salmon Alts http://www.pcouncil.org/2017/03/46838/draft2017-sal-mgmt-alts-public-review/, or visit Ocean Salmon Management Program http://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/salmon/ for graphics of the alternatives as they apply off Oregon.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
