I heard Lake Cassidy is not a very safe place to fish by yourself. If you can come, We can try next weekend 04/29 or 04/30.

That's a curious comment, "not safe to fish by yourself."  Looks like a nice put-in on the west side and not a big lake, soooo?  Wouldn't might trying it, but just wondering about the comment?

Cassidy is plenty safe fishing alone. Really easy launch  Lots of big fish , eagles that will damn near take trout out your hands, lots of good fishing! . I usually don't hit up Cassidy until June, I'm down to go  then. My friend fishes Cassidy at least two times a week, he gives me the reports.. If you go out and want to catch crappie, head directly east from the boat launch . There is a dock over there go south of the dock and out about 50 feet or so. rig up a slip float and a red and white crappie tube skirt, tip it with a small chunk of worm or a white power maggot, cast in towards shore let the bait rest for a second, then twitch the jig and reel it in stop twitch repeat, let it sit for a second. light leader and clean knots are needed for success. they are hungry right now because of the spawn, Focus in about 5 to 8 feet of water. Make sure you cast into that depth , they get spooked easy

Good luck

Appreciate both the comments and really appreciate the pics.  Seems like a great place to take some newbees and kids to catch some fish.  Nice and close and pretty tasty filets.
Have a Malibu Xl 2 + that's a bit of a tank to paddle but it's like fishing off a floating dock and east to anchor.  Thanks again.

Fished Cassidy since I was 10 years old. Still to this day . Never had my vehicle messed with. Not once  that's just a common occurrence now anywhere we go unfortunately   I've been last off that lake in the dark several times  . I've seen the shady guys that hang there  but never have messed with my stuff.  Cops hang there now as well at night. I've never had altercation with anyone.. best fishing at Cassidy is the minute the sun goes below the trees.

Trident kids will get a kick   go in around summer time and slay the bluegill and sunfish right on th3 edge of the bank. Lots of perch too. Always getting bites. Bring lots of worms! I've ran out a few times in the first hour
