hey all, any people from southern oregon, (rugue vally, grants pss, cave jctn, or where ever) would like to try to get some folks togather to hit the salt here soon, next 2-3 weeks, possibly launch out of brookings or gold beach, if anyone is interested, let me know, would have to be a weekend, crash, if you read this hope you would go also.

LEts go to brookings.  whales head or harris beach surf launch if we get a good weather window.  Keep your eyes on the surf forecast, it looks pretty snotty for at least a week.  That can always change.

We need a southern oregon/rogue valley kayak anglers facebook page.  IT seems like we are reaching critical mass for the area.  Coos Kayak fishing and  LCKA (that's lost coast, not lower columbia) cover the areas north and south respectively but theres a big hole in the wild rivers area and the rogue valley.

Couldn't agree more, we need a group of folks to hit the So.OR and No.Cal coast for friendship and safety.  This weekend is looking pretty good starting Friday, so I will be ready to go if anyone else is.  Boxofrain is in Brookings and possibly available on weekends.  I have only done Sunset Beach and want to get experience other places.  The reports from last weekend were very energizing.  Thanks, Danr for mobilizing this, and Crash for lending your experience and guidance.  I live in Talent, so put me on the list!  Allergic to Facebook, but will follow there, just not register.

OMG!  Put a guy in saltwater, just once, and he can't stop!  Sounds like a good way for me to become more familiar with the Gold Beach area, but I have other fishing commitments for this weekend.  I'd like to stay in the loop for future dates.

danr, I can help you put together a Facebook page but I'm a bit overloaded on other pages to manage yet another one.  Let me know if I can help.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Nice! I work (too much) and my days free are limited, But I would like to be in the loop as well. When the time is right, it's good to have friends along to share the trip and safety.
My buddy Jim and I are planning a drift fish from the Chetco to the Winchuck, so it will have to be a good day as it is a few miles to cover. I do have access to the beach in several areas along the way, so if it blows out, we can take out.

That sounds like a blast. I'd be in.

Chetco to Winchuck sounds awesome!  I would be in up to Apr 26, then a medical procedure will put me out of commission until it heals.  Was hoping this weekend would hold up weatherwise, but is kinda sorta changing, maybe.  Or not.  Keeping the fingers crossed.  Danr, if the weather blows up for the weekend, it would be good to meet you for some time on the water, maybe Emigrant?  Looking forward to your videos.

I think I created a group on Facebook. Link here:

If I start getting notifications I'll assume it worked.
