Guess you'll be stopping and spot checking on longer bike rides from now on won't ya?

Just gonna elevate those support bars another couple of inches is all.

If anyone stumbles on this later and thinks, "Man, I wish I had some Hobie yellow PE plastic to match..." please message me. I've been keeping chunks of yellow Hobie material I found in a dumpster and I'd be more than happy to mail you some.

Captain Redbeard I'll happily take you up on your offer if we can work out shipping to AK. Got a nasty gouge on the bottom of my Oasis from tire wear towing it behind my bike for about a half mile in Whittier on a homemade trailer last summer. Still plenty of hull thickness for now, but I should really look after properly repairing it soon.

PM Sent. Just PM me your address and how much material you want and I will send it up to you.

Man, you guys are good. I had some scratches on my keel and just put on some jb plastic weld. It works so far but isn't the most attractive

Another good spot to get plastic for Hobies is under the front hatch.  Ndogg had a stupid friend that borrowed his Revo for ocean salmon fishing a few years back. After plug cutting a herring his stupid friend's bait knife wound up pointing down in the cup holder. That stupid friend then sat on the hilt and drove it through the deck. Boy was that stupid friend ever happy it was pointed down...I can only assume. I mean, I wasn't there of course. Anyways, being a great guy and all, I helped him fix that idiots mistake.  We just shaved strips off around the inner hatch rim and used it to fill the puncture.  Of course, if you need a big chunk, that may not be feasible, but for a small puncture it works well.

Also, if you ever put a knife through your (or your friend's)kayak while out on the water, like a stab wound, if it isn't doing any more damage just leave it in.  It make a form fitted plug for the hole. Not that I have any first hand experience...
