Hi all!!! Use to live on Fox Island in the Puget sound and had a OK Malibu two XL angler... Then I moved to Nevada  :(  Well, we just bought another Malibu two and are excited to get back on the water. Planning on hitting the Oregon coast the weekend of June 8-11, if anyone has any tips please let me know.  Also, any advice on a fishfinder that will work on the Malibu two would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

The Tillamook Bay Kayak Day tournament is june10, so there will be some people fishing the bay for salmon, rockfish and crab.  Do a search on the forum under TBKD and you should find all the details. Welcome to the forum.

Can't the dog-paddle?  Just shutting down from work and couldn't resist.  Will be posting some some day trips between Edmonds and Point No Point in the not distant future.

great location and fishing when the ocean is being friendly, I'm heading there tomorrow!   We used to camp at the State Park there before we bought our place in Florence.

when the ocean swells are too high you can also fish/crab in CoosBay, several popular locations from near the mouth up to the big bridges by the North Bend Airport.  and several large lakes just to the north if you are looking for a nice day out chasing bass or planter rainbows, or just looking for eagles, osprey and river otters...cheers, roger

yeah... She could, but prefers to be Chauffeured  ;)  We went ahead and booked a site at the state park so will be looking forward to exploring Sunset and/or Coos Bay.  We have only had the kayak a couple weeks now and are getting it set up for fishing... Hopefully I can have it ready to go by the time we head north.
