Not sure yet, but was thinking Wildcat, or Long, or maybe even Kitsap...   Kitsap might be the best given the extensive lilpad area at the south end of the lake.  With the Yaks we can get in farther than any of the boats...

Ideas?

I should add though, chasing Bass in that area means no prop use so its paddles for most of the movement.

Hope you ended up getting out.  Hopefully next time.  I don't have a pedal boat so it won't be a problem.  I would like to try Kitsap as I have never been to that lake.

Good to see the West side represented.  I commute between Kingston and Bainbridge and try to drop into the salt somewhere along the way (or a bit further North) for a couple of hours on weekdays. I'm usually in similar locations on weekends.  It's hard for me to schedule outings but if you see a tall guy in one of the kayaks below, I'd be happy to meet you all and compare notes.  Also, coho fishing has been pretty steady of late (see my MA9/MA10 thread) so it's time to get out there!

SciGuy,

Did I see you a couple weeks back fly fishing off the Spit on BI and around Faye Bainbridge park?

That was indeed most likely me.  Been spending most of my time more recently in MA9.

I thought so...   I recognized those wheels on the Hobie.  You were throwing a fly around right in front of my place.

I am just getting into this and have an Oasis which will most likely lead to a solo kayak once I get the kids hooked.

I am out of Bainbridge and looking for fellow yack fishers to help this newcomer understand the ropes a little more.

I'm planning to head out tomorrow morning in my Outfitter with my 9 y.o. daughter.  I'll probably stay local, drop in at Faye Bainbridge, and head South from there.  That is assuming I find time to install outriggers.  They've been sitting in a their original box for a while but my daughter, all of a sudden, insists on using them when she's in the boat.  The plan is to trolling around and cast to any feeding Coho and nervous bait fish we happen to see.

And she arrived, bright Hibiscus and all.  Cruised across Murden Cove this evening and will throw some luers at salmon in the am around Yaquina, Murden Cove.
